Eight-board word solver · Standard daily format

Octordle Solver

Track clues from all eight boards independently. One five-letter guess is checked against every answer, but each board gets its own green, yellow and gray feedback.

Shared guess tracker

Standard Octordle gives you 13 guesses for all eight boards together. Update this counter after each submitted guess.

How to use the Octordle solver

  1. Record your shared guesses. Update the tracker after a guess is submitted to all eight boards.
  2. Keep each board separate. Enter green, yellow and gray clues only in the panel for the board that produced them.
  3. Lock in green positions. Add every confirmed letter to its exact slot in that board’s green pattern.
  4. Move yellow letters. Enter each yellow letter at the position where it appeared; the candidate must place it somewhere else.
  5. Handle gray duplicates carefully. Use the maximum-count field when a letter has both colored and gray copies in the same guess.
  6. Choose the board with the fewest candidates. Compare the remaining words and suggestions without allowing one board’s clues to leak into another.

Why Octordle needs a shared-guess strategy

In the standard format, every five-letter guess is played against all eight answers and consumes one of thirteen shared turns. A letter can be green on one grid, yellow on another and gray on a third. The best early guesses often test useful letters across several unsolved boards instead of chasing one answer too soon.

About the candidate dictionary

The solver filters the site’s local five-letter guess list. It is a general reference dictionary rather than an official Octordle answer feed, so the candidate count is a guide to words matching your clues, not a guarantee that each word can be a hidden answer in the game.

For four simultaneous boards, use the Quordle solver. For a single Wordle board, use the Wordle solver. To unscramble a group of letters, open the Anagram Solver.

Octordle solver questions

How many boards does Octordle have?

Standard Octordle has eight independent five-letter boards. The same guess is scored separately against all eight hidden words.

How many guesses are shared across the eight boards?

The standard daily format gives you thirteen guesses in total, shared by all eight boards. Use the tracker above to record how many you have spent.

How do I enter green and yellow letters?

Enter green letters in their exact positions. For yellow clues, place each letter in the position where it appeared; the solver requires it to appear elsewhere in that answer.

How do I handle gray duplicate letters?

Add a letter to the absent field only when the board has no green or yellow copy of it. If a guess had a colored copy and a gray duplicate, use the optional maximum count such as E:1.

Are the candidates guaranteed to be Octordle answers?

No. Candidates come from the site’s general five-letter guess dictionary. Some words may be valid guesses without being eligible answers in a particular Octordle mode.

Does the solver know the daily Octordle answers?

No. Enter the tile feedback from your own game. The solver filters the candidate list and does not use an official answer feed.
