Use exactly five characters when entering a pattern. Type ? for each unknown letter.

Repeated letters count. Enter A twice if the word must contain two As.

Words containing any excluded letter are removed.

    How to use the word finder

    1. Lock known letters into place. Use a five-character pattern such as S??RE.
    2. Include yellow letters. Add every letter that must appear somewhere in the answer, even if you do not know its position.
    3. Exclude gray letters. Add letters that are not in the answer. If a letter has a green or yellow copy and an extra gray copy, use the solver to account for its exact count.
