How Wordle hints work
- Start with the vowel count. It gives you a useful shape without revealing a position.
- Check repeated letters. This can explain why a letter turns gray even when another copy is green or yellow.
- Reveal position clues only when needed. The first, last and second letters make the clue progressively stronger.
- Use the meaning clue as a final nudge. The answer remains hidden until you choose to reveal it.

Where do the daily answers come from?
The daily puzzle record is fetched from the date-specific public New York Times Wordle data endpoint. The date, puzzle number and five-letter solution are validated before the record is saved.
Does Wordle Hint host a playable game?
Yes. You can play a free five-letter Wordle-style game with a shared daily puzzle and unlimited practice. The official New York Times game is separate.
How does the solver handle repeated letters?
It applies Wordle feedback rules in two passes, then uses exact minimum and maximum letter counts when a guess contains duplicate letters.
